Earth Day Cleanup: Update
April 19, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Luxton Baseball Park
In place of our original April 22nd Earth Day cleanup, we are very excited to announce that Westhills has partnered with Bilston Watershed Habitat Protection Association for their Earth Day event on Sunday, April 19 from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM.
Join us at Bilston Watershed Habitat Protection’s Firehall Creek restoration site, located at the corner of Marwood Road and Luxton Road beside the baseball diamond as we work together to clean up the surrounding area and help protect this important local waterway.
This event is also a wonderful opportunity to see the incredible restoration transformation they have completed along this stretch of Firehall Creek over the past eight months.
What to Expect
Volunteers will meet by Luxton Road Baseball Park before heading out to help tidy along the Firehall Creek Restoration Site. Cleanup supplies will be provided.
Parking can be found on Marwood Road. Families welcome, volunteers under 19 must be accompanied by an adult.
After the cleanup, we’ll gather back at the baseball diamond for complimentary lunch and refreshments as a thank you for helping keep our community clean and vibrant.
This is a great opportunity to:
- Connect with neighbours
- Spend time outdoors
- Teach kids about environmental responsibility
- Make a visible impact in your community

Walk-ups welcome, or RSVP to @blistonwatershed@gmail.com
We encourage everyone to wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes. The event will proceed rain or shine unless severe weather conditions require otherwise.
